Because you deserve it. You know that feeling of coming home to newly cleaned house? That's the feeling cleansing gives your body. It addition to giving your digestive system a new start, cleansing also helps: boost energy, address bad sleeping patterns, tackle skin problems and strengthen your immune system. Only you can answer why you want to cleanse. But, these are some ways it can help you take care of you a little better.

It's different for everyone. But, your diet affects how you feel. And cleansing will change your diet. You can do the math from there. The cleansing experience is different for everyone; some feel more energy and clarity, while others may struggle with fatigue (sometimes headaches) while doing the same cleanse. It's a process, and it's personal, depending on you and your body. So, we recommend going at your own pace and staying within your comfort zone. 3-day and 5-day juice cleanses are great, but not at the cost of your mental health or overall well-being. The best advice we can give is to listen to your body and react accordingly.

No. Everyone is different and our bodies have different relationships with food. Cleansing is for those who basically understand how their body reacts to what they consume. If you don't, no probs, just check in with your doc before you cleanse. Like us, they want to help you be the best version of yourself. One thing is for sure, however, good nutrition is definitely for everyone.  

Start cutting back on processed food. It's a super good idea to get your body ready for what's coming: clean, organic, pure nutrients (hopefully, nothing else. Nudge, nudge). Preparation for that can really help. A perfect pre-game plan for your 3-day and 5-day cleanse could begin about a week before, by starting a diet of unprocessed, natural, organic whole foods. Basically, identify and try to cut back on things that may cause digestive trouble, cravings, etc. If all is working well, stick to your start date (hopefully not a crazy busy time in your schedule). Oh, it's always good to have a friend close by for support. Friends are great to help us stay accountable, right?! 

Just be smart about it. If you workout regularly, you know your body needs lots of (even extra) fuel and hydration to exercise well. A big change in your regular diet will have an impact on that. It's important to pay extra attention to how you are feeling during a cleanse, so you can respond in the right way — whether working out or not.  

Our cleanses are designed for a juice-only routine (with lots of water). That said, sometimes, people just gotta eat. And that's OK (even if it's not ideal during a cleanse). If you are one of those people, we recommend doing your best to stick with unprocessed, organic whole foods like fresh fruit, soup, broth, raw crudité, steamed green veggies, and avocado.

Water is awesome (it's always awesome) to help you feel full and hydrated. It can also help you ease into a cleanse, especially if you are new to it. Other good stuff is herbal tea (without caffeine), and adding a little lemon to hot water. Now, do you need to get off the coffee? It's up to you. Just know that caffeinated drinks don't help with the cleanse. If it's a must-have for you, we recommend keeping it down to one cup a day. You can do it! We believe in you!

Be proud, and take it easy. Finishing a cleanse is worth feeling good about, no matter the experience. You did it. But, it's also worth taking the time to get used to your new (food!) diet. It's best to be gradual about it and stick with the organic, whole foods your body got used to. Soups and smoothies are great. We find that keeping a food journal is helpful too -- especially if you want to identify problematic foods for your system. Some people find other detoxifying activities helpful too, like saunas or asking their doctors about a colonic. We can't emphasize enough how important your doctor's advice truly is.
